"Looking for the best web proxy—any recommendations?"
Hey guys,
Sooo tired of hitting blocks and slow speeds when trying to browse. Anyone got a solid rec for the best web proxy that actually works without lag?
I’ve tried a few, but either they’re crazy slow or get blocked after like 5 mins. Not cool.
Preferably something free (or cheap) and doesn’t ask for a ton of personal info. Bonus if it’s easy to set up—I’m lazy like that lol.
Also, does the best web proxy even exist? Or am I just dreaming?
Thanks in advance!
If you're looking for the best web proxy that's free and fast, try HideMyAss or KProxy.
They’ve worked for me when others failed. HideMyAss has a free version, but the paid one is way better. KProxy is super simple—just paste the URL and go.
Downside? Some sites might still block them, but they’re solid for most stuff.
Also, avoid proxies that ask for logins. Sketchy af.
Yo, I feel you on the laggy proxies. Honestly, most free ones suck after a while.
But if you want a decent free web proxy, check out ProxySite. It’s no-login, works in-browser, and doesn’t throttle speed too hard.
For something more reliable, Windscribe’s free plan gives you a proxy + VPN. Limited data, but way faster than most junk out there.
Best web proxy? Nah, but close enough for lazy browsing lol.
Proxies are hit or miss, but here’s what I’ve found:
- Hola VPN (free but kinda shady)
- CroxyProxy (works with YouTube, which is rare)
- VPNBook (free, but speeds vary)
If you want the *best* web proxy experience, just get a cheap VPN. Surfshark’s like $2/month and kills most proxies.
Free proxies = ads + slowness. You get what you pay for.
Bro, just use Tor Browser. It’s not exactly a web proxy, but it bypasses blocks like a champ.
If you’re set on proxies, try FilterBypass. It’s barebones but gets the job done.
Also, avoid anything with “unblock” in the name—those are usually trash.
Best web proxy? More like least-worst lmao.
I’ve been down this rabbit hole too. Free proxies are *usually* garbage, but here’s the exception:
Psiphon (technically a VPN but acts like a proxy). It’s designed for censorship-heavy countries, so it’s built to evade blocks.
Otherwise, yeah, you’re dreaming if you want a perfect free proxy. Maybe try a trial of a paid one like Luminati?
For quick fixes, I rotate between:
- Whoer.net
- Anonymouse
They’re not the best web proxy options long-term, but for casual browsing, they’re alright.
Pro tip: Clear cookies often—some sites track and block proxies that way.
If you find something better, lmk. This struggle is real.
Wow, thanks for all the suggestions! Didn’t expect so many options.
Tried ProxySite and it’s way faster than what I was using. Still testing a few others, but this is a huge help.
Quick Q: Anyone know if these work with streaming sites? Or am I stuck with buffering forever?
Also, big shoutout to the Tor Browser tip—didn’t even think of that. Gonna give it a shot later.
Y’all rock!
