Hey everyone! Just started my reselling business a few months ago, and tbh, finding good deals is HARD.
I’ve been hitting up thrift stores, garage sales, and FB Marketplace, but sometimes it feels like everyone’s snagging the good stuff before I even get there.
Any pro tips? Are there secret spots or apps y’all swear by?
Also, how do you avoid overpaying? I’ve def made a few “oops” buys that killed my profit margins.

Thrift stores are great, but you gotta go OFTEN and early. I’ve scored some insane deals just by being the first one there when they restock.
Also, check out local auction houses—they’re lowkey goldmines for reselling business. Websites like AuctionZip or HiBid list estate sales and auctions near you.
For sneakers, I use Sole Retriever to track drops and restocks. Saves me from overpaying on resale platforms.
FB Marketplace is hit or miss tbh. I’ve had better luck with OfferUp and Mercari for flipping stuff.
Pro tip: Set up alerts for keywords like “moving sale” or “cleaning out basement”—people just wanna get rid of stuff fast and cheap.
And always negotiate! Most sellers expect it, so don’t be shy.
Y’all sleeping on liquidation pallets. Websites like Bulq or Liquidation.com sell returned/overstock items in bulk.
Yeah, it’s a gamble, but if you know your niche, you can flip for crazy profit. Just do the math before buying!
