Subject: What are the most common websites that get into Discord servers?
Hey everyone!
I’ve noticed a lot of links getting shared in Discord servers lately, and I’m curious—what are the most *common websites that get into Discord servers*? Like, the ones you see *all* the time.
For me, it’s usually stuff like YouTube, Twitter, Spotify, and Imgur. But I’m sure there’s more.
Anyone got a list or just wanna shout out the ones you see most? Maybe some niche ones too?
Thanks in advance!
(Also, sorry if this has been asked before—I did a quick search but didn’t find much.)
Oh man, the common websites that get into discord servers are everywhere! YouTube is a given, but I also see Twitch clips all the time, especially in gaming communities.
Reddit links pop up a lot too—people love sharing memes or discussions. And don’t forget Google Docs for collabs or rules pages.
For niche stuff, I’ve seen a ton of Carrd.co links for personal bios or server invites.
Yeah, YouTube and Twitter are huge, but I’d add Streamable for quick video shares.
Also, Pastebin gets thrown around a lot for code snippets or long texts. And if you’re in artist servers, ArtStation or DeviantArt links are everywhere.
Kinda surprised no one mentioned GitHub yet—tech servers live off it.
Spotify’s definitely up there for music bots or song shares.
But lemme throw in some lesser-known ones:
- Tenor/Giphy for GIFs (obviously)
- Prnt.sc for quick screenshot shares
- Quizlet if it’s a study server
Also, Bit.ly or TinyURL shortened links show up a ton.
Honestly, the most common websites that get into discord servers are the basics: YouTube, Twitter, Imgur.
But in my niche (anime servers), it’s all about MyAnimeList and Crunchyroll links. Oh, and Kemono.party for… *certain* art shares.
For tools, maybe try a link preview bot like Embed Generator if you wanna clean up how links look.
I’d say it depends on the server type. Gaming? Twitch and Steam links. Meme servers? Reddit and iFunny.
But one underrated one is Wayback Machine—people use it to archive shady links before clicking.
Also, Discord itself counts, right? Invite links are everywhere lol.
For me, it’s always:
- YouTube (duh)
- Twitter/X
- Imgur
- Pinterest (in art servers)
But also, Google Forms get shared a lot for events or feedback. And don’t forget Patreon if it’s a creator’s server.
Wow, thanks for all the replies! Didn’t realize how many common websites that get into discord servers there are beyond the usual suspects.
Gotta check out some of these niche ones like Carrd and Kemono.party—sounds interesting.
Also, the link whitelist bot idea is genius. Anyone got a specific one they’d recommend?
Short answer: YouTube, Twitter, Reddit.
Long answer: It’s crazy how often I see TikTok links now, even though Discord’s preview sucks for them.
Also, SoundCloud for music heads, and Archive.org for old-school stuff.
Pro tip: Use a link whitelist bot if you’re a mod and wanna filter spam.
In my experience, the common websites that get into discord servers are mostly social media (YT, Twitter, etc.).
But niche-wise:
- Fandom wikis for game/movie servers
- Ko-fi for donations
- Notion for org stuff
Oh, and random Google Drive folders. So many Google Drive folders.
