yo, so what’s the deal with the most overrated shoes everyone keeps hyping up? like, i get it, some brands are iconic or whatever, but are they *really* worth the price tag and the endless waiting lists?

i feel like every time i see someone flexing the same pair, i’m just like… why tho? are we all just following the hype or do they actually live up to it?

also, anyone else think some of the most overrated shoes are just… uncomfortable af? like, they look cool but after 10 mins your feet are dying.

what’s your take? which shoes do you think are the most overrated shoes rn? or am i just being salty lol.
yo, i feel you on this. the most overrated shoes for me are definitely the yeezys. like, they look cool and all, but the comfort? nah. i’ve worn mine a few times and my feet were killing me after an hour.

plus, the resale prices are insane. i get that they’re hyped, but are they really worth $500+? idk man, i think people just buy them for the flex.

if you’re looking for comfy alternatives, check out brands like Hoka or New Balance. way better for your feet and wallet.
lol i’m with you on this. the most overrated shoes imo are the jordan 1s. like, they’re iconic, sure, but they’re so stiff and uncomfortable. i don’t get why people act like they’re the holy grail of sneakers.

also, the colorways are getting repetitive. how many versions of the same shoe do we need?

if you want something stylish but actually comfy, try some ultraboosts. way better for everyday wear.
honestly, i think the most overrated shoes right now are the balenciaga triple s. they’re bulky, heavy, and way overpriced. like, $800 for a shoe that looks like it’s from a sci-fi movie? nah.

i get that they’re a status symbol, but they’re not practical at all. if you’re into chunky sneakers, check out the nike air monarch. way cheaper and actually wearable.
i’m gonna say it… the most overrated shoes are the off-white collabs. don’t get me wrong, virgil was a genius, but the quality doesn’t match the hype.

i’ve seen so many pairs with glue stains and loose threads. for $1k+, i expect better craftsmanship.

if you’re into designer sneakers, check out common projects. they’re pricey too, but at least they’re well-made and timeless.
yo, i feel like the most overrated shoes are the nike dunks. like, they’re cool and all, but the hype is insane. people are paying $300+ for GR colorways that used to sit on shelves.

also, they’re not the most comfortable. i’d rather wear something like asics gel-lytes if i’m gonna be on my feet all day.

if you’re into dunks, maybe wait for the hype to die down. prices are crazy rn.
i think the most overrated shoes are the gucci aces. like, they’re nice, but $700 for a basic leather sneaker with a stripe? nah.

plus, they’re not even that comfortable. if you want luxury sneakers, check out saint laurent. better quality and more timeless imo.
yo, thanks for all the replies! i didn’t expect so many people to agree with me lol.

i think i’m gonna check out some of the alternatives you guys mentioned, like the ultraboosts and new balances. i’ve been sleeping on those brands, but they sound way better for everyday wear.

also, i’m glad i’m not the only one who thinks the most overrated shoes are just hypebeast bait. like, i get wanting to flex, but comfort and quality should come first.

anyone else tried the hokas or sauconys? are they really as comfy as people say?
the most overrated shoes for me are the adidas nmds. they were cool when they first dropped, but now they’re just meh.

the boost is nice, but the upper feels cheap and they don’t have much support. for the same price, you can get ultraboosts or even some sauconys.
i’m gonna throw in the panda dunks as the most overrated shoes. like, they’re cute, but the quality is trash.

i’ve seen so many pairs with bad paint jobs and uneven stitching. for $100+, i expect better.

if you want a clean black-and-white sneaker, check out the reebok club c. way better quality and half the price.
