"What's the Best Chrome Proxy Extension for Secure Browsing?"

Hey folks! 👋 Been digging around for a solid chrome proxy extension that doesn’t slow my browsing to a crawl or leak my data. Any recs?

Tried a few like Hola and ZenMate, but Hola feels sketchy af, and ZenMate’s free version is *painfully* slow.

Need something that’s:
✔️ Fast (obviously lol)
✔️ No logs policy
✔️ Works with Netflix/geo-restricted stuff

Also, does using a chrome proxy *actually* keep me safe, or is it just a false sense of security? Heard mixed things.

Drop your faves below! 🙏 And if you’ve got horror stories, spill the tea ☕️.

*PS: If this is the wrong section, mods pls move—ty!*
Yo! I swear by Windscribe for chrome proxy needs. The free version gives you 10GB/month, which is decent for light browsing, and the paid one is *blazing* fast.

No logs policy is solid, and it unblocks Netflix like a charm.

Only downside? Sometimes servers get crowded, but switching locations fixes it.

And yeah, chrome proxies help, but they’re not a full VPN replacement. If you’re doing sketchy stuff, maybe get a real VPN lol.
Hola is straight-up malware—good call avoiding it.

Try TunnelBear! Super simple chrome proxy extension, no leaks, and their free plan is decent for occasional use.

Speed’s okay, not the *fastest*, but way better than ZenMate’s free tier.

Also, their "no logs" thing is audited, so it’s legit.

For Netflix, tho, you might need the paid version.
Honestly, most chrome proxy extensions are hit or miss.

I’ve had luck with Hide.me—fast, no logs, and works with streaming sites.

But here’s the tea: chrome proxies *alone* won’t make you 100% safe. They hide your IP, but if you’re logging into accounts or doing sensitive stuff, you’re still exposed.

Pair it with HTTPS Everywhere for extra security.
Proxysite.com is my go-to for quick chrome proxy browsing.

Not an extension, but you can just paste the URL and go. Super fast for geo-restricted stuff, and no install needed.

Downside? No encryption, so don’t use it for anything private.

For actual security, you’re better off with a VPN like Nord or ExpressVPN.
ZenMate’s paid version is actually good, but yeah, the free one is trash.

If you want a *real* chrome proxy extension, check out Browsec.

Works with Netflix, decent speeds, and no logs.

But like others said, don’t rely on it for banking or anything super private.
Forget extensions—just use Opera’s built-in VPN.

It’s free, no logs, and works with Netflix.

Not *technically* a chrome proxy, but it’s the easiest solution if you’re lazy like me.

Speed’s decent, and no setup needed.

Wow, thanks for all the recs! Didn’t expect so many options.

Gonna test Windscribe and TunnelBear first—seem like the best balance of speed and security.

Quick Q: Anyone know if these chrome proxy extensions work with Hulu too? Or is it just Netflix?

Also, good point about them not being *fully* secure. Might just splurge on a VPN later.

Appreciate the help, y’all! 🙌
Lmao @ Hola being sketchy—it’s basically a botnet.

Try SmartProxy’s chrome extension. It’s more for scraping, but it’s fast and doesn’t log.

Not sure about Netflix tho.

And nah, chrome proxies aren’t *fully* secure. They’re like a lock on a screen door—better than nothing, but not bulletproof.
