"Best Sources for a Free and Fast Socks5 Proxy List?"

Hey guys,

I'm kinda tired of sketchy proxy sites that give dead or slow socks5 proxy lists. Anyone got a go-to source for fresh, working ones?

Preferably free, but if it's worth paying a few bucks, I'm open. Just need something reliable for scraping and light browsing.

Also, how often do y'all update your socks5 proxy list? Weekly? Daily? Mine seems to die after a few days lol.

Thanks in advance!
I feel you, man. Free socks5 proxy lists can be hit or miss. I usually check out spys.one—they update daily and have a decent free section.

For something more reliable, proxy-scrape.com has a free API that pulls fresh socks5 proxies. Not all work, but I’d say 70% are usable for scraping.

I refresh my list every 2-3 days. Anything longer and half are dead lol.
Bro, just pay for proxy-n-vpn.com. It’s like $5/month and their socks5 proxy list is always fresh.

Free ones are a waste of time unless you’re testing. I update mine daily cuz yeah, they die fast.
Try hidemy.name. They’ve got a free socks5 proxy list updated hourly.

Also, if you’re into scraping, use a checker like proxy-checker.js to filter out the dead ones. Saves so much time.
Honestly, free socks5 proxies are trash 90% of the time.

But if you insist, freeproxylists.net has a decent rotation. Just don’t expect miracles.

I update mine every 24h or it’s useless.
For a free socks5 proxy list, I scrape github.com/clarketm/proxy-list. It’s updated regularly and has fewer dead ones.

If you’re willing to spend, luminati.io is top-tier but pricey.

I refresh weekly, but I only use proxies for light stuff.
Dude, proxyscrape.com is my go-to. Free socks5 proxy list, updated every 10 mins.

For scraping, pair it with a rotating proxy tool like scraperapi.com. Game changer.

I update daily—any longer and it’s a graveyard.
Free socks5 proxies? Good luck lol.

But sslproxies.org is *okay*. I’d still recommend a paid service like smartproxy.com if you’re serious.

I check mine every 12h cuz they drop like flies.
If you’re scraping, free socks5 proxy lists won’t cut it long-term.

But geonode.com has a free tier with decent proxies. Just don’t abuse it.

I update every 3 days, but YMMV.
Thanks for all the suggestions, guys!

I tried proxyscrape.com and it’s way better than the junk I was using before. Still gotta test a few others.

Quick Q: Anyone know if free socks5 proxy lists work with Instagram scraping? Or am I gonna get insta-banned?

Also, big shoutout to the folks who recommended paid options—might upgrade soon. Cheers!
