Subject: why cant i click hyperlinked content in chatgpt?

Hey everyone,

So I’ve noticed that whenever ChatGPT gives me a link, I can’t actually click it. Like, it’s *right there*, but nothing happens when I try.

Is this just me? Or is it a known thing?

I’ve tried copying and pasting, which works, but it’s kinda annoying. Wondering if there’s a fix or if it’s just how ChatGPT rolls.

Thanks!

Yo,

ChatGPT keeps dropping links, but they’re basically just… text? Can’t click ‘em at all.

Am I missing something or is this just how it is?

Copy-pasting is fine, but c’mon, it’s 2024. Shouldn’t links be, y’know, *clickable*?

Lemme know if you’ve found a workaround!
Yeah, this is a common issue with why cant i click hyperlinked content in chatgpt. It’s not just you!

The links are technically just text formatted to *look* like hyperlinks. ChatGPT doesn’t render them as actual clickable elements.

Workaround? Copy-paste or use a browser extension like “Make Links Clickable” for Chrome. It auto-detects URLs in text and makes ‘em clickable.

Annoying, but at least there’s a fix!
ugh, same here.

why cant i click hyperlinked content in chatgpt is such a pain.

i’ve tried highlighting and right-clicking, but nope.

someone said using a markdown viewer helps, but idk.

for now, i just ctrl+c ctrl+v like a caveman.
Fun fact: ChatGPT doesn’t actually support interactive elements like clickable links. It’s a text-based AI, not a web browser.

So yeah, why cant i click hyperlinked content in chatgpt? Because it’s not designed to.

You could try pasting the convo into a doc or notes app—some of those auto-detect and linkify URLs.
Wait, seriously? I thought I was the only one dealing with why cant i click hyperlinked content in chatgpt.

Tbh, I just got used to copying them.

But if you’re on desktop, there’s a tool called “Text Linker” that might help. Turns plain-text URLs into clickable ones.

Not perfect, but better than nothing.
Bro, it’s 2024 and we’re still copying links like it’s 2005.

why cant i click hyperlinked content in chatgpt is a mystery.

I heard OpenAI might add proper linking in future updates, but for now… yeah.

Pro tip: If you’re on mobile, some apps (like Telegram) auto-linkify text. Paste there first, then click.
It’s a security thing, apparently.

why cant i click hyperlinked content in chatgpt? Because letting users click random links from an AI could be risky.

Makes sense, but still annoying.

I use a script in Tampermonkey to auto-convert text URLs. Works like a charm.
Lol, I just realized I’ve been trying to click them for weeks.

why cant i click hyperlinked content in chatgpt feels like a prank.

No fix yet, but if you’re tech-savvy, you could write a simple script to parse and open links.

Otherwise, welcome to the copy-paste club.
Thanks for all the replies, folks!

Didn’t realize why cant i click hyperlinked content in chatgpt was such a universal struggle.

Tried the “Make Links Clickable” extension, and it works! Still weird that ChatGPT doesn’t do this natively, though.

Anyone know if OpenAI’s planning to fix this? Or are we stuck with workarounds?
This is why I love forums—turns out I’m not crazy.

why cant i click hyperlinked content in chatgpt has been bugging me forever.

Found a workaround: Use a PDF reader. Paste the text in, and most readers will make URLs clickable.

Not ideal, but it’s something.
