Why does Facebook keep logging me out after I close it? Anyone else experiencing this?

Hey everyone,

So, I’ve been having this issue lately where *why facebook keeps logging me out after i closed* the app or browser. It’s super annoying, like, I log in, do my thing, close it, and BAM—next time I open it, I’m logged out again.

Anyone else dealing with this? I’ve tried clearing cookies, updating the app, even restarting my phone, but nada. It’s like Facebook just doesn’t wanna remember me lol.

Is it a bug or something on their end? Or am I missing a setting somewhere? Let me know if y’all have figured this out.

Thanks!
Hey! I had the same issue with why facebook keeps logging me out after i closed the app. Turns out, it was my browser settings. If you're using Chrome, go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and Site Data. Make sure "Clear cookies and site data when you close all windows" is turned OFF.

Also, check if you have any extensions like cookie cleaners or privacy tools that might be messing with it. Hope this helps!
ugh, this is so annoying! i dealt with this too and it drove me nuts. for me, it was because i had "private browsing" turned on in my browser. if you're using incognito mode or something similar, facebook won't save your login.

try logging in normally (not incognito) and see if it sticks. if that doesn't work, maybe try a different browser?
Yo, I had this exact problem last week! I think it’s a bug on Facebook’s end. I read somewhere that they’ve been messing with their security settings, and it’s causing random logouts.

What worked for me was disabling two-factor authentication temporarily and then re-enabling it. Sounds weird, but it fixed the issue for me. Maybe give that a shot?
This happened to me too, and I was like, "why facebook keeps logging me out after i closed the app??" Turns out, my phone’s battery saver mode was messing with the app. If you’re on Android, try turning off battery optimization for the Facebook app.

Go to Settings > Apps > Facebook > Battery > Battery Optimization and set it to "Don’t optimize." Worked like a charm for me!
Hey! I had the same issue, and it was super frustrating. I found out that my antivirus software was clearing my cookies every time I closed my browser. If you’re using antivirus or a privacy tool, check its settings to make sure it’s not deleting Facebook cookies.

Also, try logging in from a different device to see if the problem persists. If it does, it’s probably a Facebook bug.
Same here! I was like, "why facebook keeps logging me out after i closed the browser??" I fixed it by clearing my cache and cookies completely, then logging back in.

If you’re on mobile, go to your app settings and clear the cache for the Facebook app. On desktop, clear your browser cache. Sometimes old data messes things up.
This is a common issue lately. I think Facebook’s been updating their security protocols, and it’s causing random logouts. One thing you can try is updating your browser or the Facebook app to the latest version.

Also, make sure you’re not using a VPN when logging in. Sometimes VPNs trigger Facebook’s security and log you out automatically.
Hey everyone, thanks for all the suggestions! I tried a few things—cleared my cache, turned off battery optimization, and logged out of all sessions. It seems to be working now, but I’m still not sure why facebook keeps logging me out after i closed the app before.

One thing I noticed is that it only happens on my phone, not my laptop. Could it be a device-specific issue? Or maybe something with my phone’s settings? Let me know if anyone has more ideas! Thanks again, y’all are awesome!
I had this problem too, and it was driving me crazy! I fixed it by checking my Facebook settings. Go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Security and Login > Where You’re Logged In.

If you see multiple devices or sessions, log out of all of them and then log back in. Sometimes old sessions can mess with your current login.
