Why Does My Page Scroll Drops to Bottom Automatically? Anyone Else Facing This?

Hey guys,

Sooo, I’ve been having this weird issue where my page scroll drops to bottom randomly?? Like, I’ll be reading something, and bam—it just shoots all the way down. Super annoying, right?

Anyone else facing this? It’s not just me, right?? I’ve tried refreshing, clearing cache, even restarting my browser, but nope, the scroll drops to bottom keeps happening.

Is it a bug or something? Or maybe a script running wild? Idk, but it’s driving me nuts lol.

Pls lmk if you’ve got any fixes or if it’s just my setup acting up.

Thanks! ✌️
Hey! I had the same issue last week, and it was driving me crazy too. Turns out it was a rogue Chrome extension causing the scroll drops to bottom thing. I disabled a few I didn’t really need, and boom, problem solved. Maybe try disabling your extensions one by one to see if that helps?

Also, check out this site called "Why Does My Site" (whydoesmysite.com). It’s great for debugging weird browser behavior like this.
omg same!! i thought it was just me lol. i found out it was some auto-loading script on the page that kept resetting the scroll position.

try using uBlock Origin to block scripts and see if that stops the scroll drops to bottom. it worked for me!
This happened to me too, and it was super annoying. I used the browser’s developer tools (F12) to check if any scripts were causing the issue. Found a script that kept firing and messing with the scroll.

You can also try using a tool like "Scroll Inspector" (scrollinspector.com) to track what’s happening with your scroll behavior.
Ugh, the scroll drops to bottom issue is the worst. I fixed it by switching to Firefox for a bit, and it didn’t happen there. So maybe it’s browser-specific?

Also, try clearing your cookies along with the cache. Sometimes that helps with weird glitches like this.
I had this exact problem, and it turned out to be a keyboard issue. My spacebar was sticking, and it kept triggering the scroll. Maybe check your keyboard or try a different one?

If that’s not it, try using a tool like "BrowserStack" to test your site on different browsers and devices. It might help pinpoint the issue.
Hey, I’ve seen this before! It’s usually caused by a script or a plugin on the page. Try opening the site in incognito mode to see if it still happens. If it doesn’t, it’s probably an extension or cache issue.

Also, check out "GTmetrix" (gtmetrix.com). It’s a great tool for analyzing page performance and might help you figure out what’s causing the scroll drops to bottom.
Wow, thanks for all the suggestions, guys! I tried disabling my extensions, and it seems to have helped a bit, but the scroll drops to bottom still happens occasionally.

I’ll definitely check out those tools like Scroll Inspector and GTmetrix. Also, gonna test it in incognito mode to see if it’s an extension thing.

Quick question though—has anyone tried resetting their browser settings completely? Wondering if that’s worth a shot. Thanks again, y’all are lifesavers! ✌️
