Why Won't Discord Open Links in Chrome? Any Fixes?

I’ve been having a frustrating issue lately—why won't discord open links in chrome?

Whenever I click on a link in Discord, it just doesn’t do anything. I’ve checked my settings, and Chrome is set as my default browser, but it still won’t work.

I’ve tried restarting both Discord and Chrome, but no luck.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

If so, what fixes have worked for you?

If you haven't already, try checking your Windows or Mac settings as well.

Make sure that Chrome is indeed set as the default browser there, not just in Discord settings.

Another thing to try is to disable any Discord overlays if you have them enabled.
