Ugh, so frustrating! I keep tapping the heart but *nothing* happens. No error, no warning—just dead.
Is it just me or is Instagram glitching again? My wifi’s fine, restarted the app, even logged out and back in. Nada.
Kinda paranoid now… did I get shadowbanned or something? But I haven’t spammed likes or followed/unfollowed lately.
If it’s a bug, hope they fix it soon. If it’s a ban, wtf Instagram??
Anyone else dealing with this? Or am I just cursed today? 😩

Someone on Reddit said it might be a temp ban if you liked too many posts too fast. But like… I barely even use the app lately? So weird.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Worked for her! Also, check Downdetector to see if others are reporting issues. Sometimes it’s just IG being IG.
Brooo, I had this EXACT problem last month. Why won't Instagram let me like posts? Turns out I was *soft-banned* for "suspicious activity" (aka liking 10 posts in a row lol).
It fixed itself after 24 hrs. If it’s not that, maybe your app needs an update? Or try liking from a browser instead.

If you’re not using one, maybe check your account status in settings? There’s a "Account Status" tab now that tells you if you’re restricted.

OMG thank you all for the suggestions! Turns out my VPN was the culprit—turned it off and bam, likes work again.
Still weird tho, never had this issue before. Anyone know if Instagram’s cracking down on VPNs now? Or was it just a fluke?

This is so annoying! Why won't Instagram let me like posts? My friend said it’s a bug with the latest update. Rolling back to an older version fixed it for her.
If you’re on Android, try APKMirror to download an older APK. iOS users are kinda stuck tho.

Jokes aside, try force-stopping the app or restarting your phone. Sometimes it’s just a tiny glitch. If not, maybe report it through the app? Doubt they’ll care, but worth a shot.
