Sooo my google sheets just refuses to open in chrome. It either gets stuck loading or just crashes. Tried edge too, same issue.

Cleared cache, restarted, nada.

Anyone else dealing with this? Or found a fix? Pls help, deadlines are breathing down my neck lol.

Ugh, sheets is being a nightmare rn.

Opens for like 2 secs then freezes or just... poof. Gone.

Tried incognito, diff browsers, even my phone (same account). Still busted.

Is it just me or is google having a moment?

Alright, who broke sheets?

Every time I click a file, it’s either infinite loading or an error.

Stuff I’ve tried:
- Disabling extensions
- Hard refresh (ctrl+f5)
- Logging out/in

No luck. If y’all have magic fixes, spill ‘em.

I found that disabling hardware acceleration in Chrome settings fixed it for me.
Go to chrome://settings/system and turn it off.

Also, check if your browser is up to date. Sometimes the simplest stuff gets overlooked.

Hey! Had this exact problem last week. why wont sheets open in browser was driving me nuts.

Turns out it was a corrupted Chrome profile. Made a new one and it worked fine.

Try this weird trick—open Sheets in Firefox. Worked for me when Chrome and Edge failed.

If that doesn’t help, maybe your internet’s blocking something. Try a VPN?

I had this issue and fixed it by resetting Chrome flags.
Type chrome://flags in the address bar and hit "Reset all."

Also, check if any extensions are messing with it. uBlock Origin was my culprit.

Found a thread on Google’s support forum saying it’s a known bug.
They’re “working on it” lol.

In the meantime, try the desktop app or Sheets mobile. Not ideal, but better than nothing.
