"why can't I use locate proxychains? getting 'command not found' error"

hey guys, so i'm trying to find proxychains on my system but keep getting "command not found" when i run `locate proxychains`.

is it just not installed or am i missing something? i thought locate was supposed to find anything lol.

tried `updatedb` too, no luck.

anyone else run into this? is it a path issue or do i gotta install some package first?

(btw, running kali if that helps)
