hey! here's a quick fix for how to turn off proxy:

windows:
- hit Win+I > Network & Internet > Proxy.
- turn off "use a proxy server."

mac:
- system prefs > network > wifi/ethernet > advanced > proxies.
- uncheck all boxes.

if that doesn't work, maybe your ISP is forcing a proxy? call them.
