OMG THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!! The registry edit + restart finally worked. I swear I toggled the proxy settings a million times before, but it just needed the extra kick.
Quick q though—could this mess with my VPN later? I use Nord sometimes and don’t wanna break it. Also, shoutout to the person who suggested CCleaner, gonna try that next time lol.
