Hey! Had this exact issue—trying to install chatgpt and it never finishes extracting. Super annoying.
Two things to try:
- Run the installer as admin *and* in safe mode (hold Shift + restart > troubleshoot > safe mode).
- Check if your user account has full permissions on the install folder. Sometimes Windows gets weird with permissions.
If none of that works, maybe hit up OpenAI’s support. They’re pretty responsive.
