Getting a 408 HTTP Timeout Error – How to Fix It? or What Causes a 408 HTTP Error and How Do You Reso

Ugh, 408 http timeouts are such a pain. Had this issue with WordPress and a poorly optimized plugin.

Used Query Monitor to find the slowest scripts. Turns out a "social share" plugin was making external calls that timed out. Removed it, and boom—no more 408s.

Maybe run a plugin/script audit? New Relic’s free tier could help too.
