How do I properly set proxy settings for my network? or What's the best way to set proxy settings on

OP here—thanks for all the tips! Tried the `netsh winhttp reset proxy` and restart, and it *finally* stuck.

Weirdly, my work VPN was overriding the proxy settings. Switched to FoxyProxy for browsers and it’s way smoother.

Still curious—why’s setting proxies on Windows such a mess compared to Linux? Like, why need admin rights for basic network tweaks?
