Can someone explain what are the proxy settings and how do they work? or What are the proxy settings

Wow, thanks for all the replies! Didn’t realize proxy settings could do so much beyond just hiding IPs.

Tried the Windows one (Settings > Network > Proxy) and messed with a free proxy from KProxy—kinda slow but worked for accessing a geo-blocked site.

Quick Q: If I use a proxy, can websites still track me with cookies, or does the proxy block that too?

Also, any recs for a *fast* proxy? The free ones are dragging lol.
