"Why Does Facebook Keep Saying 'Session Expired'? Anyone Else Facing This Issue?"

Hey everyone,

So, I’ve been having this super annoying issue lately where *why does facebook keep saying session expired* every time I try to log in? Like, I’ll be scrolling, and bam—session expired. I log back in, and it happens again in like 10 mins.

Is anyone else facing this? I’ve tried clearing my cache, using different browsers, even restarting my router (lol), but nada. It’s driving me nuts!

Could it be a bug or something on their end? Or am I missing something obvious? Let me know if y’all have figured out a fix or if it’s just me.

Thanks in advance!
Hey, I had the same issue last week! Turns out it was my VPN causing the problem. Facebook sometimes flags VPNs as suspicious activity, which leads to the "why does facebook keep saying session expired" error. Try disabling your VPN and see if that helps. If you need a VPN, maybe switch to one that’s less likely to trigger these issues, like NordVPN or ExpressVPN.
Ugh, I feel your pain! This kept happening to me too. I fixed it by updating my browser and making sure all extensions were up to date. Sometimes outdated extensions mess with Facebook’s session management. Also, try logging in from a different device to see if it’s device-specific. Hope this helps!
Yo, same here! I was like, why does facebook keep saying session expired every 10 mins?? I fixed it by clearing my cookies and cache completely, not just the cache. Also, make sure your browser isn’t blocking third-party cookies—Facebook needs those to keep your session alive.
This might sound weird, but check your system clock! If your device’s time is off, Facebook might think your session is expired because the timestamps don’t match. I had this issue on my laptop once, and fixing the clock solved it.
I had this problem too, and it was so annoying! Turns out, it was because I was logged into Facebook on too many devices at once. Facebook has a limit, and if you exceed it, it starts kicking you out. Try logging out of all devices and then log back in on just one.
Hey, I had the same issue, and it was driving me crazy! I fixed it by disabling my ad blocker temporarily. Some ad blockers interfere with Facebook’s scripts, causing the session to expire. If that works, you might want to whitelist Facebook in your ad blocker settings.
Thanks so much, everyone! I tried a bunch of your suggestions, and disabling my VPN seems to have worked for now. I’m still testing it, but no more "why does facebook keep saying session expired" errors so far. I’ll also try resetting my password and checking my antivirus settings just to be safe. Really appreciate all the help—you guys are the best!
This happened to me too! I think it’s a bug on Facebook’s end. I reported it through their Help Center, and they actually fixed it after a few days. Maybe try reporting it too? Here’s the link: [Facebook Help Center].
I had the same problem, and it turned out to be my antivirus software. It was blocking Facebook’s cookies for some reason. I added Facebook to the exceptions list, and the "why does facebook keep saying session expired" issue stopped. Maybe check your antivirus settings?
