Can Anyone Explain How to Permanently Block IP Addresses on Discord?

Hey everyone,
So I’ve been dealing with this annoying troll on Discord, and I’m wondering if anyone knows how to permanently block IP addresses on Discord? Like, I’ve already banned them from my server, but they keep coming back with alt accounts. It’s driving me nuts!

I’ve tried looking it up, but most guides just talk about banning users, not IPs. Is there even a way to do this? Or do I need some kind of bot or external tool?

Also, if anyone’s done this before, does it actually work? I don’t wanna waste time if it’s not gonna stop them for good.

Thanks in advance for any tips!

(Also, sorry if this has been asked before—I’m kinda new to managing servers lol.)
Hey! So, blocking IPs on Discord isn’t something you can do natively, unfortunately. Discord doesn’t give server admins the ability to block IPs directly.

But, you can try using a bot like MEE6 or Dyno to set up auto-moderation rules. They can help detect and ban alts based on behavior patterns. It’s not a perfect solution, but it’s better than nothing.

Also, if the troll is really persistent, you might wanna look into external tools like Cloudflare to block IPs at the network level. It’s a bit technical, but it works.

Good luck!
Yo, I feel your pain. Trolls are the worst. Unfortunately, Discord doesn’t let you block IPs directly, but there are workarounds.

You can try using a bot like Wick or Carl-bot. They have anti-raid features that can help detect and ban alts. It’s not exactly how to permanently block IP addresses on Discord, but it’s close.

Another thing you can do is enable 2FA for your server. It won’t stop the troll, but it’ll make it harder for them to create alts.

Hope this helps!
Hey there! Blocking IPs on Discord isn’t something you can do out of the box, but there are some third-party tools that can help.

I’d recommend checking out tools like Discord Moderator Bot or even setting up a VPN blocker if you’re tech-savvy. It’s not a direct solution, but it can help reduce the number of alts the troll uses.

Also, make sure you’ve enabled all the verification levels in your server settings. It won’t stop them completely, but it’ll slow them down.

Good luck dealing with the troll!
Honestly, Discord doesn’t make it easy to block IPs, which is super annoying when dealing with trolls.

One thing you can try is using a bot like AutoMod or even setting up a custom bot with anti-alt detection. It’s not exactly how to permanently block IP addresses on Discord, but it’s the next best thing.

Another option is to report the troll to Discord Trust & Safety. If they’re breaking rules, Discord might IP ban them. It’s not guaranteed, but it’s worth a shot.

Hang in there!
Hey! So, blocking IPs on Discord isn’t really a thing, but you can make it harder for the troll to keep coming back.

Try using a bot like AltDentifier. It’s designed to detect and ban alts, which might help with your problem. It’s not a perfect solution, but it’s better than nothing.

Also, make sure you’ve enabled the highest verification level in your server settings. It won’t stop them completely, but it’ll make it harder for them to create alts.

Good luck!
Ugh, trolls are the worst. Unfortunately, Discord doesn’t let you block IPs directly, but there are some things you can do to make it harder for them.

I’d recommend using a bot like MEE6 or Dyno to set up anti-raid measures. They can help detect and ban alts, which might slow the troll down.

Another thing you can try is reporting the troll to Discord. If they’re breaking the rules, Discord might take action. It’s not a sure thing, but it’s worth a shot.

Hope this helps!
Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone! I’ve already set up MEE6 and enabled the highest verification level, so hopefully that helps.

I’m still a bit confused about how to permanently block IP addresses on Discord, though. Has anyone actually tried using Cloudflare or a VPN blocker for this? I’m not super tech-savvy, so I’m not sure if it’s worth the effort.

Also, I reported the troll to Discord, but no response yet. Fingers crossed they take action soon.

Thanks again for all the help!
