"Anyone else hitting a 431 error? So annoying!"

Ugh, just ran into this *again*—431 error, "Request Header Fields Too Large." Like, whyyy?

From what I’ve dug up, it’s usually caused by massive cookies or too many headers. Maybe your browser’s storing way too much junk?

Quick fixes I’ve tried:
- Clear cookies/cache (duh).
- Try incognito mode—weirdly works sometimes.
- If you’re on a site you own, tweak server settings (nginx/apache) to allow larger headers.

But fr, why isn’t there a simpler fix? Anyone got better hacks? Share ‘em below!

*Also, is it just me or does this error pop up at the worst times?* 😤
Ugh, the 431 error is the worst! I had this issue last week and it drove me nuts.

Turns out, my browser extensions were adding a ton of headers. Disabled a few sketchy ones and boom—fixed.

Also, check out Chrome's "EditThisCookie" extension. Helps you see and delete cookies causing the issue. Lifesaver!
Yeah, this error pops up when headers get too big, usually from cookies or auth tokens.

If you're on WordPress, try the "WP Maximum Execution Time Exceeded" plugin—it can help adjust server limits.

Otherwise, clearing cache + cookies is the go-to. Annoying but works.
431 error? Same here!

Found this tool called "Requestly" that lets you modify headers on the fly. Super handy for testing.

Also, if you're a dev, check your nginx config—increase `large_client_header_buffers`. Default settings are way too strict.
Bro, I feel you. 431 errors are the worst.

Try switching browsers. Firefox handles large headers better than Chrome sometimes.

If you're stuck, this site explains it well: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs...Status/431.
This kept happening to me on Shopify.

Turns out, some apps were adding insane headers. Had to remove a few and it fixed the 431 error.

Also, Cloudflare can sometimes mess with headers—check if you're using it.
Ugh, 431 errors are such a pain.

If you're on Apache, tweak `LimitRequestFieldSize` in httpd.conf. Default is like 8KB—way too small.

Also, check out "Postman" for testing APIs. Helps spot header issues before they break stuff.
Had this issue yesterday!

Clearing cookies didn’t work for me, but deleting browser history did. Weird, right?

Also, if you're using a VPN, try disabling it. Some add extra headers that trigger the 431 error.
431 error gang rise up!

If you're on a Mac, Safari's private mode actually handles this better than Chrome. Give it a shot.

Also, this guide helped me: https://kinsta.com/blog/431-request-head...too-large/. Super detailed.
Wow, thanks for all the tips! Didn’t realize extensions could cause this. Just disabled a few and it’s working now.

Still weird that it happens randomly though. Anyone know if this is more common on certain sites?

Also, gonna try that Requestly tool—sounds clutch. Appreciate the help!
