Getting 'innertext does not exist on element' error – what am I missing? Alternatively, if you want a slight

Happened to me too! "innertext does not exist on element" is almost always a typo (*innerText*) or a timing issue.

Try *await page.waitForSelector()* with a timeout.

If you’re scraping, *textContent* is usually safer—fewer surprises.

Also, check out Playwright’s best practices page. Saved me hours of debugging.
OMG, this error. *innertext* is wrong—it’s *innerText*.

If that’s not it, the element might be missing or not rendered yet. *waitForSelector* is a must.

For scraping, I’d switch to Playwright’s *textContent()*—way fewer headaches.

Their GitHub repo has great examples for this exact scenario.
