Has Anyone Else Noticed Inconsistencies with IPQuality Score Accuracy?

Hey everyone,

So, I’ve been using ipquality score for a while now, and I gotta say... it’s been kinda hit or miss lately. Like, sometimes it’s spot on, but other times it feels way off?

For example, I’ve had legit users flagged as high-risk, and then obvious sketchy ones slip through as low-risk. What’s up with that?

Anyone else noticing these inconsistencies? Or is it just me? I mean, I get that no system’s perfect, but c’mon, ipquality score is supposed to be one of the better ones, right?

Kinda frustrating when you’re trying to rely on it for decisions.

Thoughts?

Yeah, I’ve noticed the same thing with ipquality score. It’s weird because it’s usually pretty reliable, but lately, it’s been kinda hit or miss for me too.

I started using a combo of ipquality score and another tool called FraudLabs Pro. It’s not perfect either, but it helps cross-check stuff. Maybe give that a shot?

Also, double-check your settings in ipquality score. Sometimes tweaking the risk thresholds helps.
Honestly, I feel you. ipquality score is great, but it’s not foolproof. I’ve had legit users flagged too, and it’s super annoying.

Have you tried MaxMind? It’s another fraud detection tool that’s pretty solid. I use it alongside ipquality score, and it’s helped reduce false positives.

Also, make sure you’re using the latest version of ipquality score’s API. They update it regularly, and sometimes older versions act up.
I’ve been using ipquality score for years, and yeah, it’s not always consistent. But honestly, no tool is 100% accurate.

One thing that helped me was adjusting the strictness level in the settings. If it’s too high, it flags legit users. Too low, and sketchy ones slip through.

Also, maybe try Sift or SEON for a second opinion. They’re pretty good at catching stuff ipquality score might miss.
Same here! ipquality score has been kinda hit or miss lately. I’ve had a few legit users get flagged, and it’s frustrating.

I started using Cleantalk alongside ipquality score, and it’s been a game-changer. Cleantalk is super aggressive with spam, so it balances out ipquality score’s occasional misses.

Also, make sure you’re using the right parameters in ipquality score. Sometimes it’s just a matter of tweaking the settings.
I’ve had mixed results with ipquality score too. It’s usually reliable, but yeah, sometimes it’s way off.

One thing I’ve found helpful is using multiple data points. Like, I combine ipquality score with user behavior analytics (like Hotjar) to get a better picture.

Also, maybe check out Kount or Riskified. They’re more expensive, but they’re super accurate.
Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone! I’ll definitely check out FraudLabs Pro and Cleantalk. I’ve already tweaked the settings in ipquality score, and it’s helped a bit, but still not perfect.

Has anyone tried combining ipquality score with manual reviews? I’m thinking of adding that as a backup, but not sure if it’s worth the extra effort.

Also, does anyone know if ipquality score has a support team you can reach out to for help with settings? I feel like I might be missing something.
ipquality score is decent, but it’s not perfect. I’ve had the same issues with false positives and sketchy users slipping through.

I’ve started using a tool called Signifyd alongside ipquality score, and it’s been a big help. Signifyd uses machine learning, so it’s pretty good at catching stuff ipquality score misses.

Also, make sure you’re using ipquality score’s email and phone validation features. They can help reduce false flags.
