Hey guys,
Has anyone here tried lunaproxy? I’ve been looking for a solid proxy service for web scraping and bypassing geo-blocks, and it keeps popping up.
Is it reliable tho? Like, does it actually handle heavy scraping without getting banned or slowing down? Also, how’s it for streaming stuff from geo-restricted sites?
Kinda tired of proxies that promise the world but end up being trash lol.
Would love to hear your experiences with lunaproxy before I commit. Thanks in advance!
(Also, if there’s a better option, feel free to drop recs.)
I’ve been using lunaproxy for a few months now, and honestly, it’s been solid for web scraping. I run heavy-duty scraping tasks daily, and it hasn’t let me down yet.
The IP rotation is smooth, and I haven’t faced any bans so far. For geo-restricted streaming, it works fine, but I’d say it’s more optimized for scraping than streaming.
If you’re looking for something specifically for streaming, you might wanna check out SmartDNSProxy. But for scraping, lunaproxy is a solid choice.
Lunaproxy is decent, but it’s not perfect. I’ve had a few hiccups with speed during peak hours, but overall, it’s reliable for bypassing geo-blocks.
For heavy scraping, it’s hit or miss. Sometimes it’s flawless, other times it slows down. If you’re looking for alternatives, Bright Data is worth checking out. It’s pricier but way more consistent for heavy workloads.
Yo, lunaproxy is legit for scraping! I’ve been using it for my e-commerce projects, and it handles like a champ. No bans, no slowdowns, and the geo-unblocking works fine for most sites.
If you’re into streaming, though, I’d recommend NordVPN or ExpressVPN. They’re more tailored for that. But for scraping, lunaproxy is a no-brainer.
I tried lunaproxy for a week, and it was okay. Not the fastest, but it got the job done for scraping. The geo-unblocking was hit or miss—worked for some sites, didn’t for others.
If you’re looking for something more reliable, Oxylabs is a beast for scraping. It’s pricey, but you get what you pay for. Lunaproxy is good for the price, though, if you’re on a budget.
Lunaproxy is my go-to for scraping. The IP pool is huge, and the rotation is seamless. I’ve scraped thousands of pages without a single ban.
For streaming, it’s alright, but not the best. If streaming is your main focus, try Surfshark. But for scraping, lunaproxy is a winner in my book.
Thanks for all the replies, guys! Really appreciate the insights. I think I’m gonna give lunaproxy a try for scraping since most of you seem to vouch for it.
Quick question though—anyone here used it for scraping social media platforms? I’ve heard some proxies struggle with that. Also, thanks for the streaming alternatives! I’ll check out NordVPN and Surfshark for that. Cheers!
I’ve been using lunaproxy for a while now, and it’s been pretty reliable for both scraping and geo-unblocking. The speeds are decent, and I haven’t had any major issues with bans.
That said, if you’re looking for something more robust, Smartproxy is a great alternative. It’s a bit more expensive, but the performance is top-notch. Lunaproxy is still a solid choice, though, especially for the price.
Lunaproxy is good, but it’s not perfect. I’ve had some issues with speed during heavy scraping sessions, but overall, it’s reliable.
For streaming, it works fine for most sites, but I’ve had better luck with CyberGhost for geo-restricted content. If you’re mainly into scraping, though, lunaproxy is worth a shot.
