Has Anyone Used IPQuality for Fraud Prevention? How Effective Is It?

Hey everyone,

Has anyone here used IPQuality for fraud prevention? I’ve been looking into it for my site, but I’m kinda on the fence.

I’ve heard mixed things—some say it’s super accurate at catching sketchy activity, while others think it flags too many legit users. Like, does it actually reduce chargebacks or just annoy customers?

Also, how’s the setup? Is it a pain to integrate, or pretty straightforward?

And pricing—worth it or nah? I don’t wanna break the bank if it’s not gonna make a real difference.

Would love to hear your experiences, good or bad. Thx in advance!

(Also, sorry if this has been asked before—I did a quick search but didn’t find much.)
I’ve been using IPQuality for about 6 months now, and honestly, it’s been a game-changer for my site. The fraud detection is pretty solid—it caught a bunch of sketchy sign-ups that I would’ve missed otherwise.

The setup wasn’t too bad, but it did take a bit of tweaking to get the sensitivity right. At first, it was flagging too many legit users, but after adjusting the settings, it’s been smooth sailing.

As for pricing, it’s not the cheapest, but I think it’s worth it if you’re dealing with a lot of fraud. It’s definitely helped reduce my chargebacks.

If you’re still on the fence, maybe check out Sift or Riskified too. They’re similar but might fit your budget better.
Yo, IPQuality is legit but yeah, it can be a bit aggressive with the flags. I had to dial down the settings a bit to avoid annoying my customers.

Integration was pretty straightforward though—just a few lines of code and you’re good to go.

Pricing-wise, it’s mid-range. Not crazy expensive, but not dirt cheap either. If you’re dealing with a lot of fraud, it’s worth it. If not, maybe look into something like FraudLabs Pro.
I tried IPQuality for a few months and ended up switching to another tool. It was flagging way too many legit users, and I got a lot of complaints.

The setup was easy, but the false positives were a dealbreaker for me. I switched to SEON, and it’s been way better for my use case.

If you’re still considering IPQuality, maybe test it out with a smaller batch of traffic first to see how it works for you.
IPQuality is solid, but it’s not perfect. It’s great at catching fraud, but like others said, it can be a bit overzealous.

The integration was super easy—just a few API calls and you’re done.

Pricing is fair, but it depends on your volume. If you’re a smaller site, it might feel a bit pricey.

If you’re looking for alternatives, maybe check out Kount or ClearSale. They’re both good options depending on your needs.
I’ve been using IPQuality for over a year now, and it’s been a lifesaver. The fraud detection is top-notch, and it’s helped me reduce chargebacks by like 70%.

The setup was a breeze—just follow the docs, and you’re good to go.

Pricing is a bit steep, but honestly, it’s worth every penny if you’re dealing with a lot of fraud.

If you’re still unsure, maybe try their free trial first to see if it fits your needs.
IPQuality is okay, but it’s not my favorite. I found it to be a bit too sensitive, and it flagged a lot of legit users.

The setup was easy, but the false positives were a headache. I ended up switching to Fraud.net, and it’s been a much better fit for me.

Thanks so much for all the replies, everyone! This has been super helpful. I think I’m gonna give IPQuality a try with their free trial and see how it goes.

I’ll definitely tweak the settings to avoid too many false positives, and I’ll keep an eye on the pricing. If it doesn’t work out, I’ll check out some of the alternatives you guys mentioned, like SEON or FraudLabs Pro.

Really appreciate all the insights—this thread has been a lifesaver!
