"SwitchyOmega Not Working After Chrome Update – Any Solutions?"

Hey guys,

Anyone else having issues with SwitchyOmega after the latest Chrome update? Mine just stopped switching proxies outta nowhere. Tried reinstalling, but no luck.

Any quick fixes or workarounds? Or is it time to find an alternative?

Thanks in advance!

Yo,

Just set up SwitchyOmega for work, but managing multiple proxies feels messy. Any tips to keep things organized?

Like, how do you name your profiles? Auto-switch rules? Share your setup!

SwitchyOmega used to be my go-to, but lately it feels clunky.

Are there better options now, or is it still the king? Curious what everyone’s using these days.

New to SwitchyOmega and kinda lost. Want smooth proxy switching for different sites.

Any step-by-step guides or settings you swear by? Help a noob out!

Cheers!
Yeah, same issue here after the Chrome update. SwitchyOmega just won’t play nice anymore.

Found a temp fix—disable Chrome’s "Hardware Acceleration" in settings. Worked for me, at least for now.

If that doesn’t help, maybe try Proxy SwitchySharp as a backup? It’s older but still does the job.
SwitchyOmega’s still solid, but Chrome updates keep breaking it.

For multiple proxies, I name profiles like "Work-US", "Personal-EU", etc. Auto-switch rules are key—set ’em up by domain so it flips automatically.

Also, backup your config! Learned that the hard way.
Honestly, SwitchyOmega feels outdated. Switched to FoxyProxy lately, and it’s way smoother.

Chrome’s been cracking down on extensions, so maybe time to explore alternatives. FoxyProxy’s free tier does most of what SwitchyOmega did.
Had the same crash issue. Cleared Chrome’s entire extension data (not just cache) and reinstalled SwitchyOmega. Fixed it for me.

If not, check if any other extensions are conflicting. Sometimes ad blockers mess with proxy tools.
Newbie here too! Found this guide super helpful for SwitchyOmega setup: [link to a proxy setup guide].

Biggest tip? Use PAC scripts if you’re juggling lots of proxies. Saves so much manual switching.
SwitchyOmega’s still king for advanced users, but yeah, Chrome’s making it rough.

For simpler needs, try "Proxy Helper"—lightweight and no fuss. But if you need fine control, stick with SwitchyOmega and just deal with the quirks.
Mine stopped working too. Turns out Chrome’s new security policies block some proxy extensions.

Try downgrading Chrome or using Firefox—SwitchyOmega runs way better there. Annoying, but it works.
For organizing proxies, I use colors in SwitchyOmega! Red for strict work stuff, green for personal.

Auto-switch by URL pattern is a lifesaver. Just regex the sites you need, and it’ll handle the rest.
SwitchyOmega’s been flaky since Chrome 115.

Temp fix: disable/enable the extension after each Chrome launch. Not ideal, but keeps it working till a proper update drops.
