"Switch Omega vs. Other Proxy Managers – What’s Your Take?"

Hey folks, been using switch omega for a while now to juggle between proxies, and it’s been pretty solid. But I’m curious—how does it stack up against other tools like FoxyProxy or Proxy SwitchySharp?

Love how switch omega lets me save profiles and switch with one click, but sometimes it feels a bit clunky with super complex setups. Anyone else run into that?

Also, the auto-switch rules are a lifesaver, but I’ve had a few hiccups where it doesn’t kick in right. Maybe just me?

What’s your experience? Stickin’ with switch omega or found something better? Drop your thoughts!

(Ps. If you’ve got tips to make it smoother, hmu!)
I’ve been using switch omega for years, and it’s my go-to for proxy management. The profile saving feature is a game-changer, especially for work.

But yeah, it can get messy with super complex setups. I’ve found that breaking rules into smaller chunks helps.

For alternatives, Proxy SwitchyOmega (fork of SwitchySharp) is worth a look—lighter and faster for basic needs.

Anyone else try it?
Switch omega is solid, but FoxyProxy is way smoother for auto-switching IMO.

The UI is cleaner, and it handles rule exceptions better. Only downside is it’s not as customizable as switch omega.

If you’re hitting hiccups, maybe give FoxyProxy a spin?
Honestly, I switched to Proxy Helper (Chrome extension) after getting fed up with switch omega’s clunkiness.

It’s not as feature-rich, but it’s stupid simple and just works. No fuss.

For heavy users, though, switch omega might still be king.
Yo, switch omega’s auto-rule hiccups are real! Happens to me too, especially with geo-based rules.

I started using SmartProxy (not free tho) alongside it for critical stuff. Way more reliable for auto-switching.

But for manual profiles, switch omega is still my jam.
Switch omega is great until it isn’t lol.

For complex setups, I’ve had better luck with ProxyCap (Windows-only). It’s not a browser extension, but it’s rock-solid for routing.

Still keep switch omega for quick browser switches tho.
Anyone else notice switch omega eats up memory after a while?

I’ve been using TunnelBear’s extension for lighter proxy needs. Not as fancy, but it’s snappy.

Still, switch omega’s profile system is unmatched.
Thanks for all the recs, folks! Gonna test out FoxyProxy and Proxy Helper this week.

Weirdly, restarting switch omega daily seems to help with the lag—kinda annoying but works.

Anyone got a trick to auto-refresh it without closing the browser?
