Need Help Setting Up ss5 Linux Socks5 Proxy – Any Tips or Tutorials?

Hey everyone,

Wow, thanks so much for all the replies! πŸ™Œ I tried the auth setup using the `/etc/opt/ss5/ss5.conf` file, and it worked! Still tweaking the speed settings, though. I reduced the timeout values like some of you suggested, and it’s better, but not perfect.

Quick follow-up: anyone know if there’s a way to monitor ss5 linux performance in real-time? Like, a tool or command that shows active connections or bandwidth usage?

Thanks again, y’all are legends! πŸš€
Hey! I struggled with ss5 linux too. For auth, you need to enable it in the config and then add users in the `ss5.passwd` file. Speed-wise, try disabling logging if you don’t need it. It frees up resources. Also, this guide [link] helped me a ton.
