Title: Do good free proxies still exist? Share your top picks!
Hey everyone,
I’ve been hunting for some good free proxies that actually work, but man, it’s like finding a needle in a haystack. So many lists out there are either outdated or just straight-up trash.
Anyone got recs for reliable ones with decent speed? I don’t need anything crazy, just something that won’t time out every 2 seconds lol.
Bonus points if they don’t log your data (but hey, I know that’s asking a lot for freebies).
Thanks in advance!
(Also, if good free proxies are a myth now, just tell me straight—I’ll stop wasting my time 😅)
Honestly, good free proxies are rare these days, but I’ve had some luck with HideMyAss’s free version. It’s not perfect, but it’s decent for basic browsing.
Speed’s okay, and they claim not to log data, but I’d take that with a grain of salt.
If you’re just testing the waters, it’s worth a shot. Otherwise, you might wanna consider a cheap paid option—free ones are kinda hit or miss.
Yo, try ProxyScrape! They’ve got a list of free HTTP/HTTPS proxies that update regularly.
Some are hit or miss, but I’ve found a few gems there. Just be ready to switch if one dies mid-session lol.
And yeah, logging is always a risk with freebies, so don’t do anything sensitive.
I gave up on good free proxies a while ago. Most are either slow, unreliable, or sketchy as hell.
But if you’re desperate, check out FreeProxyLists.net. They refresh their list daily, so you might find something usable.
Just don’t expect miracles—free proxies are basically a game of roulette at this point.
Lol, good free proxies? More like "proxies that work for 5 minutes."
Jokes aside, I’ve had *some* success with KProxy. It’s browser-based, so no setup, but it’s kinda slow and has ads.
For anything serious, I’d just pay for a VPN. Free proxies are more trouble than they’re worth these days.
Wow, thanks for all the suggestions! I tried ProxyScrape and found a couple that actually work—not perfect, but way better than what I was dealing with before.
KProxy was too slow for me, but Geonode’s been decent so far.
Guess good free proxies aren’t *completely* dead, just hard to find. Appreciate the help!
If you’re just scraping or light browsing, ProxyNova’s list is worth checking out. They test proxies for speed and uptime, so you’re not completely blind.
But yeah, free proxies are a gamble. I’d recommend rotating them often—no such thing as a long-term free solution anymore.
Honestly, most good free proxies are either dead or packed with users, making them useless.
But you can try Spys.one—they have a decent filter for speed/country. Just don’t expect privacy.
Free proxies are like public Wi-Fi: convenient but risky af.
I’ve been using Geonode’s free tier for testing, and it’s *okay*. Not blazing fast, but it doesn’t drop every minute.
They claim no logging, but who knows? If you’re just messing around, it’s fine. For real work, though, free proxies ain’t it.
